Morliny-style white sausage burger

30 min
Mediocre

What do Americans know about burgers? Something for sure, but they didn’t think to make it with sausage. And we did!

Ingredients

  • A pack of white sausage from Morliny (about 0.5 kg / 1.1 lb)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 4–6 burger buns
  • 2 tablespoons of horseradish 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Favourite garnish (cucumber, pickles, tomato, lettuce, onion)

Preparation

Step 1

Remove the casing from the sausage, and then mash it with a fork until you reach the irregular consistency of minced, pulled meat. Put the meat into a bowl.

Step 2

Add the egg and breadcrumbs to the meat. Add a tablespoon of cold water, then mix thoroughly, and knead the meat to make it easy to form. Form 4–6 burger-style chops from the meat. Fry the meat in a hot pan for 2–3 minutes on each side. You can also bake the burgers in the oven.

Step 3

Use a separate dish to mix mayonnaise with horseradish. Cut a bun and brown it in a pan or oven. Spread the prepared sauce on the bun and fold the sandwich. You can add your favourite garnish to the burger: lettuce, pickles, vegetables, or sauces.
