Baked Jalapeno peppers with sausage from Morliny and cheese

35 min
Mediocre

An unusual spicy snack — not for everyone, but lovers of spicy flavours will be delighted. There are no jokes with our Texas sausage…

Ingredients

  • Half a pack of Texas sausage from Morliny (2–3 sausages)
  • 12–15 fresh jalapeno peppers or 1 sweet pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) of grated mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g (1.8 oz) of grated cheddar cheese
  • A handful of chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Finely dice the onion and fry in a pan until it is soft and golden brown. Finely chop the chives. Clean the sausage from the casing and crush it with a fork to the consistency of minced/pulled meat. Put the sausage into the bowl. Add the grated cheese and the chives with the fried onion. Mix it all thoroughly.

Step 2

Cut the peppers in halves and remove cores. Stuff them with previously prepared sausage stuffing. Bake everything in the oven preheated to 200 °C (392 °F) for about 15–20 minutes. You can also grill them.
