This recipe allows you to return to this one summer you spent as a child in the country with your grandmother. You don’t have to thank us!
Dice the onion. Finely dice the apple (optional). Put the bacon on a cold frying pan and start frying. When it starts to brown, add onion and butter, and fry it all on medium power for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. After this time, add apple and marjoram, and fry until the onion is golden, soft, and sweet.
Thoroughly scrub and wash the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until they are soft for about 15–20 minutes, depending on their size. After cooking, cut the potatoes into halves. You can additionally fry them until golden.
Put the potatoes into the deep plate. Pour over the curdled milk and sprinkle them with cracklings and dill.
