Stew with sausage — a royal meal in 60 minutes.
The pot was calling the kettle black, and the reason was that the kettle would not fit a decent dinner for 4 people in it. You’ll need a large pot for this one! We give you an Eintopf with sausage — a stew which has meat, vegetables, and broth. And you don’t have to pay a lot for them — yet you still will eat like a Polish king. In the end, it’s our Podwawełska sausage — a royal feast is in order!
Stomp, stomp, stomp… Can you hear these steps? The support is coming — sausages from Morliny are known around the world for their qualities. Red peppers and sliced tomatoes will add flavour and colour to the pot, sauerkraut will make it not so sweet, and potatoes and Podwawelska sausage from Morliny will bring a bit of a homely atmosphere.
Coarsely dice the potatoes and bacon. Put the bacon into a large pot with some olive oil. Fry until it is golden brown and melts. Add potatoes and cook for about 5 minutes. Slice the sausage and add to potatoes. Strain the cabbage and chop it. Dice the pepper and add to the potatoes and sausage. Add the broth and cook for 10 minutes, covered.
Add the spices into the pot: bay leaf, allspice, sweet pepper, and chopped parsley. Add the sauerkraut and tomatoes. Mix it all and cook for another 20 minutes, covered, stirring occasionally. Cook until the potatoes are soft.
