Dumplings with sausage in a spicy tomato sauce

40 min
Easy

Are you so hungry that you’d eat a horse with dumplings? Well, maybe not a horse, but how about a sausage?

Ingredients

  • Half a pack of Texas sausage from Morliny (2–3 sausages)
  • 1 can of sliced tomatoes
  • 500 ml of tomato puree / passata
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A handful of chopped parsley
  • Frying oil
  • Dumplings to serve

Preparation

Step 1

Coarsely dice the sausage and onion, and chop the garlic.

Step 2

Preheat a large frying pan with olive oil. Add the diced sausage and fry until golden, stirring occasionally. When it’s browned, add the onion and garlic and fry until soft. At the end, add the garlic. Add canned tomatoes and puree. Mix everything and bring to a boil.

Step 3

Add oregano and basil to the sauce. Add chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper. Stew on medium power for 10–15 minutes. Serve with fried potato dumplings.
