Make cuts on the sausage with a knife as for grilling, but very finely, creating something like an accordion. Make cuts on the potatoes with a sharp knife, very finely, just like on the sausage. Be careful not to cut the potato all the way. It needs to be still in one piece.Press the garlic. Finely chop the parsley and thyme. Mix the garlic, parsley, and thyme with the butter, and then thoroughly brush the potatoes on the side of the cuts with this mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix the sauerkraut with a little honey and cumin, and place on the bottom of the baking dish. Put the sausage on the top and lay it with potatoes. Put everything in the oven preheated to 180 °C (356 °F) oven and bake for 40–50 minutes, until the potatoes are soft.
