Sausage with lentils and tomato pesto

This recipe brings breaks the Silesian sausage out! Lots and lots of aromas and flavors ahead…


  • Half a pack of Silesian sausages from Morliny
  • 2 cans of lentils
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet pepper
  • Half a teaspoon of cumin (optional)
  • Half a teaspoon of ground coriander (optional)
  • Broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Pesto:
  • Half a cup of dried tomatoes
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • 1 little red onion
  • Half a cup of olive oil
  • Basil/a handful of parsley


Step 1

Slice the sausage. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Strain the lentils.

Step 2

Use a large pot to heat the olive oil, and fry the onion on it. When soft, add the sausage and garlic, and fry it all for another 2 minutes. Add the lentils and the broth, so that it covers the lentils. Add spices, salt, and pepper. Stew everything covered for about 20 minutes.

Step 3

To make the pesto, blend all the sauce ingredients together.

Step 4

Serve the lentils with tomato pesto.
