Horseradish soup with potatoes and sausage

Horseradish is quite spicy, so be careful not to pay through the nose for it!


  • A pack of Głogowska sausage from Morliny
  • 2–3 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 large tablespoon of grated horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 2 litres of broth
  • A bunch of dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 pcs of allspice
  • 1 teaspoon of marjoram
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Frying oil


Step 1

Slice the sausage. Julienne the onion. Peel and dice the potatoes.

Step 2

Use a large pot to heat the olive oil and fry the sausage until it’s lightly golden. Add the onion and garlic, and fry them until soft. Add potatoes, horseradish, broth, and spices. Cook it all until the potatoes are soft. After this time, mix the soup with the cream, and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Serve the soup with a hard-boiled egg and fresh dill.
