Morliny-style oven-made sausage with chickpeas, cumin, and tomatoes

Sausages accompanied by chickpeas, cumin, and tomatoes. A carousel of flavours!


  • Half a pack of Silesian sausage from Morliny (2–3 sausages)
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • 2 cans of chickpeas
  • 1 onion
  • A bunch of chopped parsley
  • Half a teaspoon of whole cumin
  • Half a teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Step 1

Make cuts on the both sides of the sausage with a knife as for grilling. Dice the onion and fry it in a pan until golden and soft. Strain the chickpeas from the pickle and put them in a bowl. Add the tinned tomatoes and the fried onion. Add sweet bell pepper, cumin, and season with salt and pepper. Mix everything up.

Step 2

Place the sausage in an ovenproof dish, pour the chickpeas with tomatoes over it. Bake everything for about 30 minutes at 190 °C (374 °F).
