60 min
Easy

Why look for the other end of the rainbow and a pot of gold, if you have a recipe for the peasant pot right under your nose?

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Podwawelska sausage from Morliny
  • A quarter of a white cabbage or savoy cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 2–3 cloves of garlic (or 1 teaspoon of dried garlic)
  • A handful of parsley
  • 1 red pepper
  • about 0.5 kg (1.1 lb) of potatoes
  • 2 cups of broth
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet pepper (also smoked one)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Frying oil

Preparation

Step 1

Slice the sausage. Julienne the onion, chop the garlic. Coarsely dice the pepper. Peel and dice the potatoes. Cut the cabbage into strips.

Step 2

Use a large pot to heat the olive oil, and fry the sausage on it. When the sausage is golden, add the onion and fry until soft. Add the remaining vegetables and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

After this time, add spices and the broth. Mix thoroughly and cook covered for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 5–10 minutes without cover. Finally, add the chopped parsley and mix thoroughly.
